Chili Oil
Ingredients
  • 1cup olive oil
  • 1/4cup red pepper flakes
Instructions
  1. Combine the oil and rep pepper flakes in a small saucepan.
  2. Heat over medium-low heat until the top of the oil starts shimmering. Be careful to not let the oil get too hot, you don’t want it to boil or smoke.
  3. Remove from the heat and let the pepper flakes steep in the oil for 1-2 hours.
  4. Once cool, pour into a jar or bottle that has a cover. Keep at room temperature; oil will last for about 2 months.
Recipe Notes

**Cardinal Rule**  If you are on the fence with eating hot foods be careful, this oil will keep getting spicier the longer it sits.
